Patrick Fairweather, director of Aline-Fairweather joins Dan Heims, president of Terra Nova Nurseries to cheer the success of Heuchera 'Midnight Rose'
|
It was entered by Kernock Plants, and Bruce Harnett was on hand to receive the certificate. It was made even more special by the fact that Dan Heims was also at the show then and attended the awards ceremony. Needless to say Dan was extremely pleased, and I believe this is a great "launch" for the Terra Nova / Proven Winners marketing initiative.

Heuchera 'Pewter Veil' PP8984 EU6209 "...is one of the most popular Heucheras in the landscape market, certainly among the "veil" Heucheras. The "veil" term applies to the silver netting on leaves. The "pewter" part of the name comes from the pewter purple color of the leaves. The plant is grown for its foliage but the airy blooms on thin stems above the foliage are an attractive feature of the Heucheras. Like many of the Dan Heims introductions it grows 15-20". The Heucheras have a very wide range of adaptation from zone 4-9. While frequently propagated by tissue culture it is easily divided. Division is done in the spring and fall. Happier in shade than full sun, once seen and recognized these plants become gardener's favorites. Easy hybridization and production from the resultant seed has resulted in many new cultivars, but 'Pewter Veil'continues to hold its own as one of the best."
