Damu Flower Valley, nestled in the Wuling Mountains of Southwest China, has undergone a remarkable transformation from a once-degraded landscape into a vibrant ecological and cultural destination. This revitalization is largely attributed to a collaboration between TERRA NOVA%u00ae Nurseries and Chongqing Tianmu Agriculture, which began in 2018. The initiative aimed to restore areas damaged by overharvesting of wild medicinal plants and mushrooms, utilizing TERRA NOVA%u00ae's robust and visually striking plant varieties.The valley now showcases an extensive collection of TERRA NOVA%u00ae's plants, including Begonia 'First Blush' and 'St. Nick'; Heuchera 'Shanghai', 'Berry Smoothie', 'Georgia Peach', and 'Lime Marmalade'; Heucherella 'Gold Zebra', 'Tapestry', 'Solar Eclipse', and 'Sweet Tea'; Kniphofia 'Papaya Popsicle'; and Echinacea 'Aloha'. These selections were chosen for their adaptability to the region's shaded, cool environment and their ability to provide continuous color throughout the summer and autumn seasons. The success of this project has elevated Damu Flower Valley to a 4A national tourist site, attracting over 300,000 visitors annually. It serves as a living exhibition of TERRA NOVA%u00ae's breeding excellence and a model for sustainable landscape restoration.
