|Comments||Good drainage is a must. Comes up late in the spring when the Soil (Garden) warms up a little. This makes it a good to combine with spring bulbs. In hot summer areas, it does not perform well in small containers as it prefers its roots cool. John Boggan, director of the US National Arboretum in DC, reports it to have survived in his garden in Washington D.C. for two winters (2009, 2010).|
|Grower Notes||Sanitation of media and growing conditions is critical. Greenhouse production recommended for best environmental controls. Avoid use of overhead irrigation. Do not crowd plants as this can lead to more disease problems and stretched plants. Do not plant too deep.|
