Mukdenia ‘Crimson Fans’

*** PLEASE NOTE ***

This plant is no longer for sale directly from TERRA NOVA® Nurseries. However, it may still be available through one of our Licensees or Retail Sources.

Mukdenia is a very hardy, deciduous Heuchera relative from China. This form has large maple-like leaves, which emerge green then age (after flowering) to mid-green splashed with bright red. Foliage remains red all summer. Numerous white, bell-shaped flowers are held in branched panicles for several weeks from February to April. Can be used as a groundcover or specimen in part shade. This stunning plant is actually hardy in Vermont! Likes even moisture, and remember it is not as fast growing as a Heuchera. Compared to M. 'Karasuba' it is darker and more compact.
